FingerTech 3lb Undercutter Bundle

- This bundle is the standard parts list for our NightWing 3lb Undercutter Kit. If it is out of stock, this is usually because of just one or two items being unavailable. Or sometimes customers would prefer to substitute some items for other variations. This product bundle is a way to do that yourself, Ã la carte!
If you want to change anything in your kit, you can just add the parts separately and modify or subtract whatever you like. For example, you may want to use a different weapon blade - if so, you wouldn't need to add that.

• No cutting or drilling required! (Unless you forego NightWing Frame Parts and build something custom.)
• This robot does require soldering. Quick connectors are fine in Antweights, but Beetleweights experience forces high enough to pop connectors right off of things. If you are stepping up to the 3lb class, soldering is a highly recommended skill to learn.

This bundle uses a "multi-purchase" style so that you can easily see all the parts, and if any are out of stock you can still get everything else.
• To purchase, add a "1" to each item on the multi-purchase list. You are welcome to "order off-menu" with this kit. The bundle is our suggested parts list, but if you want to change anything you can just add the parts separately and modify or subtract whatever you like. You may already own a battery charger and radio transmitter/receiver - if so, you wouldn't need to add those.

Recommended Tools:
- Use a cordless drill with #2 Phillips bit for the chassis screws. Set the clutch as light as it will go - they do not need to be cranked tight.
- #00 Phillips Screwdriver and Needle Nose Pliers
- Medium strength Threadlocker for all machine screws.
- "Helping Hands" alligator clamping arms for holding wires while soldering

Bundle Includes:

Weapon Assembly:	The weapon is our new 3lb Undercutter Assembly with matching 3lb Undercutter Electronics. If you'd like to use these two products to build your own custom undercutter design, just use 3.18mm (0.125in) top and bottom plates, with 30.35mm (1.19in) tall walls. Space the motor axis 46.13mm (1.82in) from the weapon axis. Operates on 3S standard, or 4S if you are planning to use a smaller diameter weapon disc. This weapon system has been refined over years of combat and it has proven itself to be extremely robust without breaking the bank. The 3/4" weapon shaft is contained by a high performance roller bearing that dissipates the impact forces over a large area. A Gr8 Hex Bolt transmits torque and holds the stack together via a threaded bore in the 42T Timing Pulley.
Weapon Electronics:	The weapon is coupled to the F4006 Brushless Motor via a custom 30T Timing Pulley and a 67T Kevlar-reinforced Timing Belt to prevent off-axis shocks from reaching the motor. Power is supplied by a BL40A ESC running AM32 firmware for smooth response and reliably fast spin ups.
Weapon Disc:	The standard weapon is our 10inch x 0.125 AR500 disc. For even faster spin-up and a greater chance of gliding around the arena with blade vertical (trust us, it's very entertaining!), grab our 10inch x 3mm Titanium disc (bottom of multi-purchase options). Paired with a 3S lipoly battery this weapon will spin up to 8k RPM. That's 240mph tip speed!
Drive Motors:	Our Mega Spark Brushless Gearmotors have an incredibly strong 6mm shaft. Uses 8x M3-0.50x5 Socket Head Screws (4 per motor) for mounting. Alternatively, to run a brushed system you can choose these 22mm 730rpm Premium Planetary Brushed Gearmotors. (See ESC section below for brushed setup.)
Motor Controllers:	2x BL40A AM32 Reversing ESCs translate the radio commands into smooth brushless motor movement, and 1x 5V Regulator powers the receiver. If you are using brushed drive motors, you will instead grab 2x tinyESCs which also provide power to the receiver, so no UBEC5V is required if using tinyESCs.
Motor Mounts:	One pair of Carbon Fibre Mega Spark Mounts are a strong and easy way to securely hold drive motors in the UHMW sidewalls. The necessary screws are included.
Wheels:	One pair of 2.75x0.75" Foam Wheels keep the weapon disc level to the floor and cushion impacts.
Wheel Hubs:	One pair of 6mm x 0.75" Twist Hubs and Twist Hub Key. (Brushed motors will use 4mm bore Twist Hubs.)
Power Switch:	FingerTech Mini Power Switch or optionally, FingerTech Metric Mini Power Switch (metric Switch requires a 2.5mm hex driver).
Battery Connector:	XT60 male connector
Battery:	3S (11.1V) 1000mAh "Galaxy" lipoly pack.
Wires:	- Red 16ga wire for joining the XT60 to the Mini Switch, and creating a small pigtail for the weapon ESC and tinyESCs to join onto. - Black 16ga wire for the negative side of things, except no power switch in that line. Includes 20cm lengths of each. - 6cm of 5mmOD heatshrink, 6cm of 7mmOD heatshrink
Screw Pack:	NightWing Screw Pack includes: - 2pcs M2 x 16mm Flat Head Phillips Screws and 2pcs Nuts for mounting the power switch. - 49x Button Head Thread-Forming Screws #6x1/2" (not a bad idea to grab spares!) - 4x Button Head Thread-Forming Screws #6x1"
NightWing Frame Parts:	Frame Parts: All parts are CNC machined with every pilot hole pre-drilled. No cutting or finishing required. - 3/8" and 1/4" UHMW Walls and Motor Mounts - 1/4" PLA+ Interior Spacers - 1/8" Polycarbonate Top - 1/8" Garolite Bottom Plate
DIY Frame Materials:	If you are making your own custom frame: One sheet of 0.375in and one 0.250in UHMW Polyethylene are used for the wall panels. UHMW is easy to work with and absorbs impacts very well. A sheet of 1/8in lexan and 1/8in garolite are used for the top and bottom of the robot. These come in 203x254mm (8x10in) sheets that will need to be cut and drilled to fit your custom design.
Safety Clamp:	All spinning weapons require a safety lock. Add this unless you already have one.
